Hi, my name is Andres du Bouchet, and for the past 12ish years I've been doing some pretty funny stuff in New York City, and lately, even in Los Angeles! Holycrap!
To be kept up-to-date on my goings-on, join my Facebook Group.
Currently I'm in Los Angeles, writing for 'The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien'. Prior to that, I spent a whirlwind seven weeks writing for 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien' in New York. It was awesome to be there for the end of that show, and I'm excited to be on the staff of the new Tonight Show.
I recently wrapped-up writing for two seasons of Fox's 'Talkshow With Spike Feresten', sandwiched around a staff writing gig (with the fancy title 'Consulting Producer') at VH-1's 'Best Week Ever'.
For a complete list of when and where you can catch me performing live, check out the Calendar page on this site.
Let's see, what else?
For a while I was mostly known as the creator and host of a popular weekly variety show called Giant Tuesday Night of Amazing Inventions and also There is a Game, but I've since put that show on the shelf. It ran sporadically from 2002 through 2006, but really hit its stride with a solid two-year run at the popular comedy venue Rififi. It was damn fun. For a taste of what it was like, watch this.
And of course, I'm also cranking out silly videos from time-to-time, which you can either watch on my Funny or Die page, my Youtube page, or on the Av page of this site. The Av page also has a bunch of audio clips of various live performances.
And I BLOG!!! when the mood strikes me. You can read my favorite blog posts here. I've included the text versions of many of my live pieces there too. The blog pretty much includes everything I've written or performed since 2002, in one form or another, including rough notes and random drunken thoughts. It's not meant to be a catalog of polished material, but rather a giant, sloppy, dusty mental attic packed with crate upon crate full of jumbled, profanity-strewn ramblings. I seem positively insane for a good portion of it.
AND I've started Twittering. Tweeting. Whatever: http://twitter.com/dubouchet.
I'm hoping that with the advent of this nifty iPhone gadget, I'll find myself sputtering a few thoughts onto Twitter and my blog from time-to-time, when I'm not playing on-line Scrabble.
Well, that's about it. If it's schpiel your interested in, check out my media kit, which has some info about me that has been hand-selected to make me appear super great and talented, though at this point it seems like a rather dated tool.
Alrighty then. Enjoy!
